The Bearpaw Bay Fire was a lightning caused fire in Grand Tetons National Park that started August 30, 2009. It was located approximately two miles northeast of North Jenny Lake Junction on the Teton Park Road, and west of Spalding Bay on Jackson Lake. This photo was taken on September 24th. By September 30, the fire had consumed over 2,800 acres. It eventually died down due to rain and snow.
