The Sines Lighthouse s a 22-metre high white cylindrical tower with a red beacon, located at Cabo de Sines in a beautiful green area, although still rather industrial. It opened in April 1880, and it has an altitude of 56 meters and 22-meter cylindrical tower with a 2nd order device fixed white light gas and oil lamp, giving a range of 25 miles. In the year 1950 is was converted into an aeromarine lighthouse, and the alteration of the light source became 42 miles.
