DHONIA RAM, age 55 years, a leather worker migrant from Bihar state in India. This area has been producing various kinds of leather & leather products to different industries all over India since 1930’s-by Punjabi,Bihari and Muslim people who lived in complete harmony but recently it has seen it’s downfall as the Supreme court ordered to remove the tanneries to a new leather complex which the poor people afford to move to. Tanners unhappy with new relocation site. Several units are still functioning illegally in the Tangra & char number area.
