Pictured is a portion of the Lay Family Garden in the Dallas Arboretum. In the backgound a waterfall cascades from native limestone walls into a large lagoon. In the foreground is a colorful bed of blue lobelia and pink geraniums. The sixty-six acre botanical garden opened in 1984. It is located in East Dallas on the shore of White Rock Lake. It has nineteen named gardens.
