Lava flow on the Big Island of Hawaii. Most of the time the volcanoes on Hawaii erupt at a very calm pace (with ‘aloha’), and it is easy to get close to the action. There are two possible ways to see the lava: From a distance e.g. In the crater of the Kilauea Volcano and Close by as it flows down the island into the ocean.
