Jaffna, Sri Lanka - February 17, 2017: A large crucifix cross on the layered roof of the Catholic church St Mary`s Cathedral in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. The cathedral is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Jaffna. Construction of St. Mary`s Church began by the Dutch colonials in 1789 and was completed in 1794. Construction of a new cathedral began in 1939 but wasn`t completed until 1975.
