Purslane & x28;Portulaca& x29; is a genus of plants from the Portulacaceae family. There are around 40-100 species found in tropical areas and areas with four seasons. It is also plurally called krukut and bracelet. One species, namely Portulaca oleracea & x28;common bracelet& x29; is known as an edible plant and is known in some areas as a pest plant. Some Portulaca species also serve as food for moth and butterfly caterpillars.
