Pajeon is one of Korea`s all-time favorite snacks or appetizers. It is a savory pancake dish with scallions, somewhat similar to the Japanese okonomiyaki. A popular kind of pajeon is haemul pajeon or seafood scallion pancake. Small cuts of assorted seafood, including fish, squid, shrimp, oysters, mussels, and clams are mixed in with egg batter and slices of scallions and cooked in a hot pan. A special sauce is prepared for dipping the pancake. It`s a delicious and light appetizer that goes great with a cold glass of beer.
