Due to strict Anti Japanese immigration laws across America from the late 1880`s, even American born children of Japanese could not attend public schools, Kinmon Gakuen was established, in 1911, for these children, to help them to learn the Japanese language.
With the increasing success of the school, they also started teaching the cultures of Japan, and children of absolutely no Japanese ancestery can also enlist.
