Inner area of the kidney medulla. Several Bellini papillary ducts are observed in a region close to its mouth in the renal papilla. They are lined by a simple prismatic epithelium. Long blood vessels and loops of Henle remain in the interstice. In the human species, about 25 papillary ducts are formed in each Malpighi’s pyramid leading to the renal papilla
