A temple-like tomb in the Brühl Garden commemorates the Prussian officer and cartographer Karl von Müffling, who was closely associated with Erfurt. On January 19, 1851, the officer Friedrich Karl Ferdinand Freiherr von Müffling 1775-1851 was buried in the Brühl cemetery. Two years later, the well-known student of Schinkel, Friedrich August Stüler, erected this classicist tomb here.
