This plant is a plant from the Araceae family of taro taro and the only member of the genus Pistia. The leaves are green or bluish green and turn yellowish when old with rounded tips and a slightly tapered base. The leaves are about 2-10 cm long with a width of between 2-6 cm. The edges of the leaves are curved and have thick, soft hairs on the surface. The leaves are thick, supple and soft, at first glance forming a sculpture like a rose crown.
