The Zhongyue Temple is located at the foot of Mt. Songshan in the central province of Henan, China. It is also part of the Dengfeng city’s “Center of Heaven and Earth†Historic Monuments. Covering an area of 110,000 square meters with eleven main buildings standing on the central axis way, the Zhongyue Temple is the biggest group of ancient architecture among China’s Five Taoist Sacred Mountains. The Junji Hall is the main building of the Zhongyue Temple and the largest building with the wooden structure in Henan province.
