Upper part of the longest glacier in European Alps - Aletsch Glacier (23km long) as seen from a vantage point in the vicinity of Jungfrau Station (3454m/11332ft altitude), the highest train station in Europe and nick-named Top of Europe. Aside from the Jungfrau Station, the research station Global Athmosphere Watch is also visible just behind it, just below the Sphinx Observatory and viewing platform. The train access line - mostly a tunnel of about 7km - was build in 1912 and it is still a great achivment of engineering. HDR image taken in late autumn about 15 minutes before sunset. Moon visible in the left-top corner of the photo.
