The Jones County Courthouse was named after Anson Jones who was the 4th and last President of the Republic of Texas. The construction is Beaux Arts Styling brick and Pesos red sandstone and was completed in 1910. The statue on the top of the clocked dome is of Lady Justice, and the building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
