Movie and tv critic, journalist, author, and playwright Joel Siegel at the world premiere of "United 93" at the Ziegfeld Theatre in Manhattan on April 25, 2006. The glitzy event served as well as the opening night presentation for the 5th Annual Tribeca Film Festival. Clearly, the event was an eye-popping experience. Siegel was the film critic for "Good Morning America" on the ABC-TV Network for a quarter of a century. He died from colon cancer in New York, in June, 2007, at the age of 63.
