Prefered means of transport in the Philippines because a Jeepney ride only costs 8 pesos. Jeepneys have a fixed route but they pick up and drop off people anywhere they want. Jeeps were left in the Philippines by the Americans after the war. Later they were rebuilt by a Philippine company and turned into small buses to improve public transport for a fast growing population.
