Jam Gadang is a clock tower which is a marker or icon of the City of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, Indonesia. This clock tower rises 27 meters high and was inaugurated on July 25, 1927. There is a large clock with a diameter of 80 cm on four sides of the tower, so it is called Jam Gadang, a Minangkabau language designation which means & x22;big clock& x22;.
