Jackfruit is the largest tree-borne fruit in the world, reaching up to 60 cm long and weighing up to 18 kg. It is ellipsoidal and aggregate, composed of multiple “bulbs” of seed-containing flesh around a stringy core, all of which is enclosed by a bumpy rind.
