Ixora javanica, also known as the Javanese ixora or Jungle flame, is a tropical evergreen shrub or small tree that is native to Southeast Asia. It is prized for its striking, showy flowers which typically bloom in clusters and are a vibrant shade of red. The flowers of Ixora javanica are trumpet-shaped and measure about 2-3 cm in diameter. They have four to five petals that are arranged in a star-like pattern, with a central tube-like structure that contains the reproductive organs. The flowers are typically bright red in color, although they can also be pink or orange.
