Ixora is a genus of flowering plants in the family RUBIACEAE. It is the only genus in the TRIBUS IXOREAE. The plant has leathery leaves, ranging from 3 to 6 inches in length, and produces large clusters of small flowers in summer. Ixora prefers acidic soil, and is a great choice for bonsai. This plant is also a popular choice for fencing in parts of Southeast Asia. In tropical climates Ixora flowers all year round and is commonly used in Hindu worship, as well as in AYURVEDA and traditional Indian medicine. This is the information I read when I found out about this plant. I took this photo in my yard. it turns out that this plant that I don't really pay attention to has many benefits and uses.
