Infrared Photography in Kerkini Lake.Kerkini is an artificial lake that was formed in 1932 by damming the Strymonas River. In 1982, due to the decrease in the capacity of the lake due to the materials brought from Strymons, a new dam was built. The area of the lake varies from 54,250 to 72,110 acres depending on the season.It is 35 km from Serres and 80 km from Thessaloniki.
