Yellow oriental paper wasp (Polistes olivaceus), also known as Indian yellow paper wasp, or Macao paper wasp or yellow paper wasp, is a species of paper wasp in the family Vespidae that is native to India and East Asia. These wasps have single-layered nests having open combs with cells for brood rearing. They are shaped like an umbrella, with the cells exposed to the air from the bottom, and no layer wrapping around the nest.
