Parma is the capital of the province in Emilia-Romagna. Former capital of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza (1545-1859), the city of Parma is a university eleventh century. Since 2002 is seat of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). In Parma are major banks such as the Cassa di Risparmio di Parma e Piacenza better known as Cariparma and Banca Monte Parma. In 2014 was entered by the British newspaper The Telegraph in 4th place as the best place in the world where reside for quality of life.
