Kibber is loated in the high-altitude regions of northeast Himachal Pradesh and famed as the second highest village in the world. Kibber is a part of the Kibber wildlife sanctuary. This cold desert mountain valley is home to some of the most exotic high-altitude wildlife of India. Kibber is the last village in Spiti on the traditional trade route to Ladakh and Tibet. The route crosses the Zanskar range through the Parang La (pass). Kibber Khas is located on a limestone cliff on the left bank of the Spiti River.
