This prehistoric looking creature is a horseshoe crab and like so many other forms of life this little guy come to Cape May in New Jersey to help with migrations. They come up on this beach every year to lay their eggs and also help the shorebirds to have something to eat to fuel their long journey. This hard shelled creature almost looks like something from another planet. His eyes on top of the shell and that long tail in the back. This picture was taken at Sunset Beach.
