The temple in honor of the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord is located on the northeast corner of the monastery. The cathedral was built in 1823 under Archimandrite Photius, on the remains of an unnamed church that burned down in 1810, the construction of which was carried out in 1761.
