BERLIN, GERMANY - FEBRUARY 1, 2013: The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe consists of 2,711 concrete slabs, or stelae, arranged in a grid pattern as seen in Berlin on February 1, 2013. Also known as the Holocaust Memorial, the standing stones are a remembrance in Berlin to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. The memorial was designed by architect Peter Eisenman and engineer Buro Happold.
