This is a Summer picture of historic Old Main on the campus of Knox College located in Galesburg, Illinois. The site is the best preserved site of one (5th) of the 1858 Lincoln-Douglass debates for the U.S. Senate. The building was designed by Charles Ulricson, is an example of the Collegiate Gothic style of architecture, and was built in 1857. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966 and designated a National Historic Landmark on July 4, 1961. This picture was taken on August 1, 2015.n
