Hill Glory Bower - Clerodendrum viscosum is a perennial flowering shrub, erect, grows to the height of 4 m high, with single stem, leaves are simple, oppositely arranged, ovate and hairy, grows up to 20 cm wide, the flowers are white with purplish pink or dull purple, born in branch end as a cluster up to 2 ft. long, flowers occur in August to October, the stem is hollow or corky. The fruits are drupes, dark metallic blue, and size up to half inch diameter.The decoction of leaves and turmeric can use for skin diseases, dried roots powder mix with jaggery is better to increase breast milk. To cure skin diseases like fungal infections and alopecia, apply the paste of leaves and roots externally over the affected areas, Fresh leaves are given to cure diarrhea, liver disorders, and headache.
