This is a Carollia genus bat, Phyllostomidae family, that I found in a cave with other individuals. Members of this genus are found throughout tropical regions of Central an South America. This short-tailed fruit bats play an important role as seed dispersers. Observed in Cerro Cahui Protected Biotope, near Mayan Biosphere Reserve, Peten department, Guatemala.
