The location of the Hanging Stone is in Parapat, North Sumatra, to be precise on the shores of Lake Toba and not far from Samosir Island. Behind its beauty, the Hanging Stone has a story that is believed by the local community to be a legend.According to history, it is said, Hanging Stone originated from the story of a girl who was about to betrothed by her parents.They were blessed with a beautiful and filial daughter named Chrysanthemum. When she was a teenager, Seruni had a lover named Sidoli. Once upon a time, they were forced to separate, because Sidoli went abroad to pay for his wedding with Chrysanthemum. On the shores of Lake Toba, Chrysanthemum asked Sidoli to promise that he would come back again. Seruni continued to wait for her lover. Meanwhile, Seruni's father is a farmer and fisherman. However, the proceeds from the fishermen were used for parties so that the father was in huge debt.
