Haizishan sister lake is located between Batang and Litang in Tibet, which is the largest Tibetan ancient glaciers, with Daocheng ancient ice cap, with an average altitude of 4,500 meters. As global temperatures rise gradually which cause ice caps melt, melting snow water gathered in glacial depressions and formed rock basin lakes, across the mountains. Haizishan Sister lake (also called glasses Lake) was chosen as the cover page of the magazine of Chinese National Geography in 2006.
