Guatemala, Quetzaltenango department, city Quetzaltenango or Xela: During Semana Santa, Holy Week or Easter Week is in the town on Maundy Thursday a childrens procession for Easter. The youngsters do the same during a procession than the adults, lugging with sacred images, only less severe. Guatemalans are very religious. The smallest children wear purple and white robe, religious clothes and be accompanied by their parents. The children`s procession attract many spectators, both Guatemalans and tourists.
