From my 2016 trip to Brazil. This building is in the Laranjeiras quarter of Rio de Janeiro. Built in 1853, it was formerly a private residence. Later it became one of the main buildings of the government of Rio de Janeiro. On top of the building there is the shield of the state of Brazil. It is called the Guanabara Palace.
