Pictured is a group of birds known as `The Medium Geese` inside the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt. It is painted plaster and was excavated in 1871 by Mariette from Meidum, the tomb of Nefermaat and Atet. The museum was built in 1901 to a design by French architect Marcel Dourgnon. In 2022, the museum is due to be superseded by the newer and larger Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza.
