Greek Catholic Church of St. John the BaptistThe Cathedral of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Przemysl was built by the Jesuits in 1626-1632. After the abolition of the Jesuit law by Emperor Joseph, the temple was abandoned and since 1820 has been used as a warehouse. In 1904, divine services were resumed in the sacral building according to the Roman Catholic rite. Since 1957, divine services were also held in the church according to the Eastern rite, and in 1991 the cathedral was given to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic community in exchange for the church of St. Teresa, which used to function as a cathedral.
