Greece, Crete. War Memorial near the monastery of Preveli against the German occupation in WWII. This memorial is dedicated to the Battle of Crete in 1941 and to citizens of Crete, people of resistance in Crete and soldiers from the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand who gave their lives. Statues of Armed abbot of Preveli monastery, Agathanggelos Laggouvardos, and of Allied Soldier. Between them is a monument with the flags of the allied countries.
