THE DEATHBLOW IS DELIVERED WITH A QUICK TRUST OF THE SHARP BILL, AND THE PREY IS SWALLOWED WHOLE- FISH ARE A DIETARY STAPLE, BUT GREAT EGRET USE SIMILAR TECHNIQUES TO EAT AMPHIBIANS, REPTILES, MICE AND OTHER SMALL ANIMALS.
