Mosses, or true mosses, are plants that belong to the division Bryophyta sensu stricto or Musci. Moss plants in general usually refer to this group. These plants are non-vascular spore plants. This moss is called a true moss because it has the main parts of a complete plant, namely roots (rhizooids), stems, and leaves. This moss is the largest group of mosses compared to other mosses, which are around 10,000 species. There are approximately 12,000 types of mosses that exist in nature.
