The mural was painted in 2018. Almeda Riddle was born in 1898 and died in 1986. She was an American folk singer, born and raised in Cleburne County, Arkansas. Riddle was a recipient of a 1983 National Heritage Fellowship awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts, which is the United States government`s highest honor in the folk and traditional arts.
