Gothic castle in Malbork Poland, built by the Teutonic Order, the seat of the great masters of the Teutonic Order and the authorities of the Teutonic Order until 1457; erected from 1280 to the mid-15th century; in the years 1457 - 1772 the residence of the kings of Poland. In 1997, it was entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The castle in Malbork is one of the most outstanding examples of medieval defensive and residential architecture in Central Europe. It is the largest castle in the territory of present-day Poland.
