The Rialto Bridge is one of the most important symbols of Venice. It connects the San Marco part of the city with the commercial zone. It was the only bridge crossing the canal up to the 19th century, it was originally wooden. Today’s bridge was build by Antonio Da Ponte at the end of the 16th century.
