Galphimia glauca is a perennial shrub native to Mexico and Central America that has been introduced in tropical and sub-tropical warm regions to be used as a medicinal and ornamental plant. The species has escaped from cultivation and can be found naturalized in grasslands, disturbed sites and along roadsides. Currently it is listed as invasive only in Cuba.
