She was nominated in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play for her work in `Edward Albee`s Three Tall Women.` Jackson, who has won 2 Oscars and 2 Emmys as well as a BAFTA, had a political career as a Labour Party Member of Parliament for 22 years. She died in her London home after a short illness on June 15, 2023, at the age of 87.
