Giraffes are tall, long-necked creatures with spots that live in the savannas of Africa. They spend much of their day eating acacia leaves and fruit from the tall trees found in the area. Giraffes are usually social animals and can be seen in groups or roaming alone. They have special adaptations to help them feed from the trees, such as a prehensile tongue that helps them reach the leaves, and their long necks allow them to reach higher branches. Giraffes also have horns called ossicones that help protect them from predators.
