Italian film legend Gina Lollobrigida, then 59, speaks as the guest of honor of the Film School of the Art Institute of Chicago, on the topic of `Comedy Italian Style.` at the Chicago Cultural Center on March 28, 1987. Lollobrigida`s heyday was the 1950s and 60s. She was a celebrated, Italian, European and international sex goddess, nicknamed `La Lollo,` In addition she was also a talented photojournalist and sculptor. In her 70s she became a progressive political activist. She sold her jewelry collection in 2013 and donated the nearly $5 million proceeds to stem cell therapy. She died in Rome on January 16, 2023 at the age of 95.
