A sensitive setting of young willow trees by a small pond with a white tail deer in the shadows – May 2006. The young spring leaves on these willow trees become bright yellow in the morning sun and appear anything but weeping. These cheerful willows are usually found growing next to one of the many small ponds that are scattered throughout the northwestern landscapes. I found this Gentle setting a couple of miles outside of Pablo, Montana, just to the right while heading south on Highway 93. For a close-up view, visit: www.stevehunziker.com/nature-wildlife.html
