Valley symbol of the Adamello-Brenta Park, rich in water, has been shaped by glaciers in the hard granite rock. Ghacciai, waterfalls, lovely forests. Val Genova, side of Val Rendena, is one of the symbols of the Park. It develops for about 17 kilometers from Carisolo to the Bedole refuge 1650 m., upstream of which is located one of the sources of the river Sarca. The tributary of Lake Garda flows into the valley floor with a sequence of spectacular rapids locally called `stairs`, interspersed with enchanting plateaus occupied by huts and huts. The river originates from the two glaciers above, the Adamello-Mandron, the largest in Italy, and the Lobbia. The valley is engraved in tonalite, a granite rock of volcanic origin and has beautiful waterfalls that also descend from the wooded side valleys: Folgorida, Lares, Nardis to name the major ones. Rich in coniferous forests, it is home to a varied alpine fauna, including ungulates, brown bear and golden eagle.
