Dune 45 is one of the most photogenic dunes in the Sossusvlei area of the Namib Desert in Namibia. Its called so due to the simple fact that it is the 45th kilometre of the road that connects the Sesriem gate and Sossusvlei. Standing over 170m, it is composed of 5 million year old sand. Gemsbok Oryx were feeding below this scenic huge heap of sand & posed for us before eloping away to safety.
